One basic principle of chemistry is that atoms cannot be created or destroyed (exceptions being nuclear processes and radioactivity). Atoms in your body are periodically being replaced by new atoms from your environment. When you die the atoms within you are recycled into the environment. Some disperse rather quickly and some more slowly. Nevertheless, your atoms are dispersed within the myriad of living systems found on earth. Your atoms and the vast number of atoms that have existed on earth for billions of years are all part of Mother Earth. Using this view, in a sense we are all one and the same. It is not inconceivable that atoms of me are in you and atoms of you were in me.

Take a deep breath.

A Red, Red Rose

By Robert Burns

O my Luve is like a red, red rose
   That’s newly sprung in June;
O my Luve is like the melody
   That’s sweetly played in tune.

So fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
   So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
   Till a’ the seas gang dry.

Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
    And the rocks melt wi’ the sun;
I will love thee still, my dear,
    While the sands o’ life shall run.

   And fare thee weel, my only luve!
And fare thee weel awhile!
And I will come again, my luve,
   Though it were ten thousand mile.

I Shall be Released

by Bob Dylan

They say ev’rything can be replaced Yet ev’ry distance is not near So I remember ev’ry face Of ev’ry man who put me here I see my light come shining From the west unto the east Any day now, any day now I shall be released

They say ev’ry man needs protection They say ev’ry man must fall Yet I swear I see my reflection Some place so high above this wall I see my light come shining From the west unto the east Any day now, any day now I shall be released

Standing next to me in this lonely crowd Is a man who swears he’s not to blame All day long I hear him shout so loud Crying out that he was framed I see my light come shining From the west unto the east Any day now, any day now I shall be released

I Shall be Released

The Last Waltz

TR is released from the Metaphorical road to continue his cosmic journey

For those of you who remember The Band, listen to the Last Waltz.
For younger more delicate ears, listen to the Joan Baez version.
For a more contemorary rendition, listen to Maroon 5.
For the brave, listen to all three.
